Discover your inner dancer - embrace beauty, connect with balance, grace and ultimately, your femininity. I invite all of you dancers to try out this new Dancer’s Companion Series. It’s a 6 week long series that is designed to help you connect to you dancer’s body by stretching out and opening up all of your aches and pains, strengthen your body with balance and build up your technique with drills and dance combo’s. This class is a fusion dance class. Work on bad habits such as poor posture through dance and be thrown into the method of my madness for Belly Dance!!

Come join Andrea to discover and to develop your belly dance talents. This class is for women of all ages and fitness levels and covers basic movements of Oriental dance, focusing on proper posture and alignment to avoid injury. We will examine some Middle Eastern rhythms and learn some appropriate steps. We will also be doing a short choreography so that you will have something to show your friends and family! This class does count as a workout, so bring a water bottle. Absolute beginners welcome!

This class has an upper limit of 12 students to allow for greater individual attention.

Take the time to nurture body, mind, and spirit with gentle relaxing Hatha yoga stretches and poses. Brief reflective questions, guided meditations and breath awareness are also included.

Bring a journal, pen and yoga mat (mats are also available at the studio) and wear warm, comfortable clothing.

TIBETAN BUDDHIST MEDITATION

Cristiano will be facilitating meditation and Buddhist teachings in a flexible "course" format in order to bring people's awareness to a broader perspective of reality, as well as themselves, combining different stages of meditation, each going further into more subtle perception of how we establish relationships with ourselves, with other people, and with the planet.

The types of meditation to be practiced are:
Analytical Meditation - Using Guru Yoga Technique
Impure Shamatha - Concentration With an Object
Pure Shamatha - Awareness Without an Object
Metta-Bhavana - Loving Kindness Meditation
Prajna Meditation - Contemplation on Emptiness (Insight into subtle aspects of phenomena)
