Spring Thaw

The ice is melting away making room for new life. Let your old habits melt away with the ice. Allow yourself to flow.

The emotional element is water. As energy in motion, water flows. It is, by definition, fluid. This is your nature. You are, on average, 70% water. Ideally, your blood, lymphatic fluid, joint (synovial) fluid, cerebrospinal fluid and all of your other bodily fluids are meant to flow.

Do you suffer from arthritis, headaches, chronic sinus infections, yeast infections, constipation? These are all indicators that you have lost your flow. You are iced up and stuck in an eternal winter within.

Ice is formed when water molecules slow down so much that they remain in fixed patterns. What creates the fluidity of water is the constant coming together and releasing of hydrogen and oxygen bonds. Ice is hydrogen and oxygen atoms stuck in fixed relationships. This chemical situation is the root of most bodily dysfunction. You become stuck in fixed relationships. You get locked into the same job, schedule, social circle, relationship patterns and behaviours. These patterns are reflections of your internal state. This does not only translate to limited growth but, also, limited energy. The constant breaking of hydrogen and oxygen bonds is a primary source of energy. When these bonds become fixed, the energy remains locked inside, unavailable for the processes of life.

It is time to get aligned with nature. Thaw out. Free yourself from chronic patterns of pain and stress by making new choices. Establish new relationships, experiment with your schedule - heck, just take a new route to work! As you become more flexible, you will find a natural direction in life. Every river has its way.

Now, a word of awareness, as this inner ice begins to break up, it will reveal natural waste, litter and, occasionally, a few corpses that have been locked up inside for a very long time. Old pains, old boyfriends (these may be one in the same) and old patterns of behaviour may all rear their ugly heads. Don't panic. Hold your course. These things will pass. Everything does. Think of the 2010 Olympics. How long ago does that seem? How about the high school exam you lost sleep over - do you worry about it now? Everything changes. Know that…I mean really take it to heart, and if you truly get it, you will never worry again.

Flow means non-attachment. You are one with life in its forever changing patterns, infinitely evolving. Surrender to development. Spring is the season.
